The Contract Shop Review: A Review by a Photographer & Course Creator

Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship

Let’s start out by saying this. When I started out as a photographer, I was going by the seat of my pants. I had no idea what I was doing – even though, at the time, I thought I was so smart. (HA!).

Little did I know that I was overlooking the most important things – things like protecting myself legally from potential liability. I wish I knew about the Contract Shop back then. So, here – I wanted to give an authentic review for the Contract Shop.

And on a personal note, I must say awesome things about the founder – Christina Scalera. She’s amazing. She’s super talented, smart, down-to-earth, and incredibly intelligent. I recently took part of a mastermind that Honeybook put together, and Christina led a discussion about her knowledge behind the importance of contracts and other legal liability issues facing creatives like you and me.

Naturally, that led me into digging more into The Contract Shop itself. And you know… I truly believe it’s one of the best resources for creative professionals that are looking to level up their contract game. Especially if you love contract bundles for creatives as much as I do.

As an example, have a peek at some of these things that The Contract Shop currently offers at the time of me writing this post specifically for wedding pros:

Tons, right? If you’re a wedding pro, The Contract Shop has you covered. And if you are looking to save money, if you can, go with one of the bundles.

Well, what if you’re here reading this review post, but you’re not a wedding pro? After all, I am currently a wedding photographer, but I am also a course creator, podcast host, blogger, and essentially – your typical multi-passionate creative business owner.

You might be the same way. At least in one of those categories. Well, The Contract Shop doesn’t leave you hanging. They’ve got you covered, too. As a quick look into what I’m referring to, check out these things that they already have put together:

So, yes – it’s a lot. And this isn’t even an exhaustive list. And on each one of those pages, you will see more details about what exactly is included. Make sure to check them out.

Long story short, I highly recommend you check out The Contract Shop. The contracts are made by creatives with legal backgrounds for creative business owners like you and me. They are highly specialized and highly amazing.

Super easy to download, tweak/customize as you see fit, and hit the ground running with getting these contracts implemented into your business back-end… all to help you reduce your liability.

DISCLAIMER: I am not an attorney. I cannot give you legal advice. And with any contract template you buy online, I highly recommend you take the template you purchase to your attorney to have them look it over and tweak it as necessary to meet your State/Country laws and to get their opinions.
